Malekko 213 - back to the hand crafting, huh?

Saw this posted on Malekko's FB. Wonder what they have in store? I haven't been happy with a Malekko (beyond pricing) since the E600s and B:ASSMASTER so maybe they'll bust out something cool with this new series?

"Returning to our roots of awesome hand crafted pedals, the 213 begins production tomorrow..the first in a series i'm ridiculously excited about!
More info when they get closer to shipping (in just 30 days!)"

I wouldn't expect any 919 in a hand crafted series either, but something appealing may pop up...

I'm excited, though I'm not a huge fan of teases. Not from malekko especially. :erm:

Right. That 30 days could stretch out endlessly.

I think malekko needs to start jumping surprise pedals and whatnot on us. Like, "hey here's a new line of pedals we've been developing for months and haven't said anything about; they'll be available tomorrow."

And seriously, I'm not going to acknowledge any more of their products until they release the 919 (though that one wasn't entirely their fault for most people, but I started getting juiced up about it a full year before proguitarshop jumped the gun).

I held onto the 919 dream for far too long myself. I may still buy that fucker if it ever materializes at or around $300-$350. I'm actually hoping they bust out a new E600 with tone control, possibly modulation...

That, I would buy, without a moment's hesitation. univalve-style!

Haha, I know you harbor the hate for Malekko (with very good reason I should add). Simply describing standard "univalve buying patterns". It's what most everyone in the gear-buying world should strive for really! :thumb:

hmmmmmmm........................................................looks/sounds cool!?!?.....ORDERED!!!

Hand Crafted - Does that mean the enclosures are whittled from trees felled by the man's own hands and home-rolled paper-in-oil caps or that they looked at the mechanically-populated pcbs before sticking them into the professionally screenprinted enclosures?

I've lost hope for the 919. I fear for its soul.

Fuck yeah. Shit, I'd be happy with just another run of the 600 and 300 delays. I had a 300B that I got from a guy on here, and I kick myself frequently for selling it. It rocked, just a little short on d-time for me. But I cracked it open and had a look, and there's nothing in there that is vintage or NOS or otherwise outrageously expensive. So there's no reason they couldn't do another new run of those.
