I'm looking to build a couple pedal boards for my band but my biggest problem is finding good boards/cases to build off of. I'm wanting to do similar work as bedroom boards and such with removable lids or something. Anyone know of places to buy latch-able cases?

I heard about some people using flightcases like this, actually made for lighting controllers:

I use a camera/mic/breakable things case thing which comes with foam for fitting stuff in but I just took all that out.

I have considered both of these, only problem I find it how high the sides are, can make it sort of hard to step on the pedals (same can be said with the bedroom boards). I may just get some light wood, cut down to shape and have the 2 pieces mirror eachother. One have a long frontside, other with a long backside. Then cover with a large sheet of adhesive damage shield.

I think rondo has some good size cases. Same ones can be found on ebay.
