Jazz Chorus JC-60?

$210 (in SEK obviously, gear is more expensive here too). An old one. Aesthetically flawed but functionally mint he says. I'm pretty sure I'm going for it if I can (chances are it'll be long gone, wrong city). But,

I read a comment somewhere it does well "with low gain pedals", leading me to believe it does not like fuzz. My impression was it handled pedals well, end of story. My old solid state Hughes & Kettner makes my fuzz sound awful and buzzy - would not like this to be the case with the JC-60. Thoughts?

Volume? I know the JC-120 is loud as hell, how about this? What kind of loud?

I have a JC-50 (same basic model a few years prior).

It gets piecingly loud; I agree with several techs I've talked to that the speakers in the older models are either rebadged JBLs or very good clones. It can get shrill, but you can tone down the treble a bit with the eq, the second input, or turning up the chorus just a little.

It'll vary what pedals it likes, but what doesn't in the fuzz department, especially units with relatively clear amp sections and higher fidelity speakers.

It'd probably sell locally (vs eBay) most places in the $150-300 range assuming it wasn't trashed - they seem to have a slightly higher resale value in person (and versus the JC120 that nobody wants to lug around weight wise).

Change the speaker and it will sound fine with fuzz pedals.

Buy it, it's super loud, and takes all kinds of pedal well. No need to replace the speakers or anything, it's more about how you set the amp's settings. The spring reverb is amazing and, it'll never break ever, ever. They are kinda heavy, but besides for that.

Quoted for truth.

I suspected as much.

The guy hasn't written back though so no cigar it seems, which sucks. It was pretty fucking cheap for being over here.
