How is it for circuit bending?

you better have a microscope and a steady hand. it would be easier to just write some java app that makes use of the built in midi voices. you would need the cable and the toolchain. tool chain is a general term to describe the list of software/library/compilers/interfaces/gui that you use to get your code running on the target. you could try lighting it on fire while playing MP3's. the slower you burn it the better and longer the interesting sounds will be. melting plastic and half working speaker is better than just burning it up quick. if you make a simple RF sniffer and you can rig the phone to turn off and on every 20 seconds, you will get a pretty boring noise maker.
