Small Questions Thread...

Hey, I don't think we have one of these. So how 'bout a place where you can ask yer smaller questions that don't warrant an entire thread? :poke:

I'll start with a stupid question I have regarding feedback loopers and pedal order.
Alright, you know how you sometimes want a buffer at a specific point in your signal path? Right now I have 3 true bypass pedals in my Utter Stutter's send/return jacks, and the US's out jack is going to a buffered pedal, which is finally connected to one last true bypass pedal. I was wondering where in this setup the buffer would...be. Would that count as it being in the same "area"...or whatever...as the three pedals that are in the send/return? Like, is its bufferyness being mixed with those pedals? Or is it technically "after" those three? :erm:

Do you know what I mean? I want this buffered pedal to be next-to-last in the chain.

If I understand you correctly the buffer is after everything in the loop and before the last true bypass pedal in the chain.
It is set up to take the signal from the US and buffer it and send it to the next (last) pedal.
That means the buffer is next to last in the chain.
Hope this helps.

Myself, I keep all kinds of "not drive/boost" nonsense in my effects loop, but between my preamp and me, I keep my (impedance) buffer at the beginning of my chain , and another at the end. After those, my True Bypass stuff makes little enough difference (unless I make it so with EQ etc).
