Ok. I made a thread about this bass awhile back but the damn search function won't work for me. So here's a new thread. :)

I just got a new Gotoh tuning machine for this thing (now I need 4 more so they match :picard:) and am ready to rock out with my cock out. The only problem is, this thing is in need of a serious truss rod adjustment. I tried allen wrenches and that shit doesn't fit right, so I confused. Anyone have any knowledge of these basses?

Here's a shitty pic.

Also, anyone know where I can find some more Gotoh tuning machines on the cheap? 18 bucks for one of these is just brutal.

If I remember correctly, I think Jacksons use an allen wrench instead of an allen key.

Where was the bass made? Could be that you need a metric allen wrench.

Now that's a idea I didn't think about. I could have sworn that you need some kind of special tool for these things, but maybe not. The bass was made overseas, not sure where. It's not labeled anywhere. No serial # and I bought it used (7 years ago!) from Musicians Friend. I just now got around to getting it back up and running. Great sounding bass too! I might take it to Guitar Center and ask them...so annoying...

So apparently the truss rod is rounding on the inside. :idk:

Not sure why. I'm assuming I'm going to have to use a wrench of some kind. Fuck my life.
