Any single shot loopers?

Like a simple looper that I can loop something, and it'll keep going then when I puch the button again it'll do a different loop? Make sense? More like a sampler. Just one phrase at a time, with the ability to go to the next loop. I'd love this with the ability to glitch it up. Cloudscapes?

JamMan?

I know they can store a ridiculous amount of saved loops but not sure on functionality as far as triggering goes...

you probably want for simple looping a jam man solo or the next one up with the externa 3 way switch to make bank searching easier?
You can only play one loop at a time but then you can go up and down through your banks and trigger saved loops.
Dl4 won't work cause it's single track only with no saving.
One of the Boss loopers might work too, my rc50 does it well enough but the problem is that you can't switch loops to something entirely different without stopping the current loop.
I think that's probably going to be your issue with simple transitions with the smaller boss loopers too.
I haven't tried a jamman to see if it would work
Probably a software thing. As long as you had your loops programmed into the jamman in the right order you might be ok as just straight switches, could be an annoying fraction of a second delay between the switches like with the boss ones

with an RC-20 it can be done with a knob twist, but not with a stomp...

Yeah just a simple aux switch into the back of an rc-20 will let you stomp but it just goes up one or down one at a time so you might have to cycle through shit to get to what you want

Naw I think I missed the mark with my description. I want like a single button... I press it to record and it loops when I press it again. I don't want to save it... So it's still looping then I can press the button again and it automatically erases the old loop and lets me do my next one. Like really on the fly. Think of the boss hold mode but with the ability to go a long time. Make sense?

Actually, it may function as record, stop, play so it would be an extra stomp. My buddy has one, I'll inquire about it.

Do the rc2/rc3's not do that?

jamman solo is a one button-do-everything thing, but to erase it you have to double stomp, hold it down, then wait.

but you can get a footswitch that lets you cycle through the settings so you can theoretically go from one loop to another really easily

Gearmond speaks JamMan truth. Not sure if a looper exists with functionality as simple as you seek....
