I was just curious what blacktop and HH actually meant for the guitar itself?

Did someone delete the first half of this thread? I feel like I'm missing something here...

I get the thread now, anywho
Blacktop I'm guessing because each model comes in black with a blackguard (and most of the non-black finishes have black guards)
...though some of the strats have white guards and the JM has a mint guard.
Guess fender didn't really think that one through.
HH as mentioned just means humbucker+humbucker pickup configuration

I think the OP was saying that the Blacktops were "yuck" as in not good and Tuffteef though he was asking about a band whose name is Yuck.

Blacktop is in reference to the black amp knobs.

Blacktop 'cause it sounds badass. Like you're playing on the streets.

The blacktop jazzmaster has a humbucker in the bridge and a p90 in the neck, no rhythm circuit, and no locking trem. I dunno much about the rest of the blacktop series. I modded my bt jazzy with a gretsch style tone switch and it now has the best clean tone I've ever heard from an electric.
The hh jaguar has no trem and two humbuckers.
