If you're willing to deal with the size and weight, enjoy. Just be aware that you'll be stuck with local sale only if you want to flip it and retain any of your cash.

Takes pedals well, will deafen you and your friends, what more do you need to know?

You will likely never need a larger amp.

SO. LOUD!!!

Good price on a great clean amp. 80 watt open back combos aren't my thing though, lows get pretty fucking sloppy at times. Add a second closed back extension cab and you'll be in business.

can it be my forever amp though?
I'd be stretching myself really thin if I buy it, I'm moving in a few months. I just need one amp to move, is this the one? lol

If you want obscenely loud and obscenely clean, it's the one. That or a Jazz Chorus if you don't want tubes are the #1 and #2 choices in 'peel paint of the wall' clean that still can sound decent.

Seriously, I'd hit it if only because you could get here, realize you hate it, and sell it for $700 like that.

Have you tried it? If so, have you tried it with your guitar and pedals?? If not, I would.

What amp are you using currently?

Personally I wouldnt spend that much on a RI, I'd just hunt for a silverface one. You could find one around that price +/- a little. Then you'd have a hand-wired vintage amp, and could convert it to blackface specs if you ever desired.

Its def a fair price for a reissue. I love mine. Like Holy Schnikes said you might want some more low end. I have a Mesa 3/4 closed back cab that does the trick.

Buy it, yes it could very well be yoru forever amp. You won't be dissapointed. Yes it's heavey but it's also a 2x12 so, duh, it's going to be heavey. Around 60 pounds.

I'd get it. It's louder than most amps at 2

I agree.

Also, Samurai, I wouldn't blow a good chunk of money on something you're not too sure about. You don't need to buy something just because it's a good deal.

This is a great piece of advice. I need to write that on a note and have it on me at all times...

Maybe I'm just a pussy, but in order to get anything close to breakup from my Deluxe Reverb RI I need to turn it up to eviction level volume. So a Twin just seems unnecessary, unless you need to get really loud. :idk:
