I'm pretty much a pedal build'n noob.
I did build tweed deluxe, and some fuzz kit pedal once. But I digress.

Would it be possible, or pheasable to build a ts808 clone on a tag board or terminal strip?
I've seen schems, and I know you can buy pcbs, I just thought it would be kinda cool to do
it total DIY stylee.

Your thoughts?

the ts9 is different from the 808 by only two resistors near the output. however, some ts9's have the JRC4558 and newer ones have TA75558 or something else. if your chasing some tubescreamer sound its probably a good idea to use the 4558 with a switch to toggle ts9/808. its a great circuit to get into modding. has all the stuff you need to learn about pedals. filters, diodes, opamps, transistors, tone control. simply dropping in different IC's is pretty fun and cheap DIY. tag board wont sound any better than vero IMO but it might sound slightly different whatever that means.
