Multimode Fuzz Curious

Recent thread about the DBA Apocalypse has got me curious about this multimode fuzz concept. What's out there besides the Apocalypse? Checkin' the Noisemaker Chimera right now:

From the website:

The Chimera is a twelve mode fuzz, with rotary control to switch between a dozen different sounds.

With twelve modes, you can get tones ranging from light overdrive, to heavy, thick fuzz, and all the tones in between.

The Chimera is by far the most versatile fuzz pedal that we make, and quite possibly the most versatile fuzz we’ve ever seen.

Seems to me the Take Flight Pedals Goose fits the category as well--I lurve mine, and it seems way unda the radar.

Gnomeratron kinda, too, and though its my little fuzzy goddess right now, kinda not too--no simpleton friendly multimode knob.

Anything else of note? :idk:

I dont think the poly grace exists yet.

Edit - also, does anyone have a Chimera? Wen site says its PTP which surprises me. I'd be interested in seeing how the builder implemented a PTP design there. Perhaps the "modes" are really just swapping between a cap or resistor value in one position of a circuit.

Shows what I know.
I've been steering clear of the ss/bs forum because I REALLY need to save money right now

That's right man--rub it in. :poke:  I know I was asleep at the switch on that one. But I thought it was an amp or sumpin'! I didn't read the fine printz!

I want me a custom double--Polygrace into LoFi Mindreader. :snax:

I sincerely hope you are right, man--I am batting .000 for the home team so far--putting all my ss/bs eggs in baskets from the future.

Hmmm--makes sense to me--I'm starting to scare myself. If so--might make an SD Tweak Fuzz "multimode"--but that's not really what I'm on about, izzit?

PS Octave Fuzz!   :poke:

They exist, all 20 of them, but it's part of a package deal with album and goodies and there's a hold up with that part, so they sit around before being sent to the eagerly awaiting folks who were lucky enough to get their order in.
