as far as i know the favorite switch is just a dpdt that switches a stereo jack- the tip either to the ring or the sleeve.. The led is just in parallel...
Here is how it works as far as I know.. I am not 100% sure if it's true tho...

loop switcher or AB switcher? its really simple if you dont need the led. I can draw you a schematic. just tell me what you need. battery or wall power. LED or no LED. I'll draw it for you. actually, I can just pay you back in loop switchers maybe? I'll still get you back even if I draw you a schematic. I'm not trying to get out of it.

Particularly the Strymon favourite switch rather than an A/B or Loop Switcher, a few friends have asked me to look into it, as I've built them loops and ABY's before

As far as I can tell... it's a TRS jack, a latching SPDT, switching the tip from the ring to the sleeve... im guessing thats what the above diagram shows?

is that a 7k in your first schematic? I have a bunch of those 1590LB boxes already, this would be a great way for me to pay you back.

I think it's a 1k.

Is there any difference between SPDT and 3PDT? I can't seem to find anywhere in the UK which sells SPDT switches.

Although I could do with a bunch of the 1590LB enclosures and switches

you wont find SPDT but you will see the x-wing DPDT thats in the picture you posted. I have 3PDT but DPDT would be better cause you could trim it down more and have the footswitch closer to the center of the box which is the ideal placement.

Those x-wing switches are expensive... would something like this work?

With these jacks, which I assume would be fine?

your paying double what we pay here in the states for a footswitch but yeah it will work. its actually pretty small so you dont need to cut anything.

oh and I just want to point out that the strymon is probably putting out 5v to the expression input. just a guess from the 1k LED. it makes sense though. no one runs 9v to the expression pedal. just a fun fact for anyone interested in how expression pedals work.

It's hard to find places for parts like this in the UK, not one shop has every part I want in stock haha
