I found this earlier and realized some folks here might be seriously interested/inspired..
This guy does crazy stuff from installing kaoss pads to imbedding effects
like fuzzes, delays, whatever, even proximity wahs, all right there in the body..
pretty cool imo although probably pretty pricey, check it out yo :)*

Those mostly look like they have horns of equal length, though it looks like there are lots of different Artists. The one in the video definitely has a longer upper bout.
I really like the shape, is why I asked.

I personally think the kaoss pad thing is a little gay.
But having all those knobs and embedded effects?
Pretty pimp, pretty gangster. Built in fuzz and filter,
i'm sorry but that's tight as fuck. Proximity wah? Gnar kill.

The Kaoss Pad is the best part... :picard:

found it!

this was the design that Ibanez originally worked up for Jerry Garcia after Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead had been playing custom Ibanez guitars for a couple of years. Garcia played his Ibanez [briefly] and put it away; the models died in the marketplace and are now uber-collectable. if you're familiar with Garcia's quilt-maple-topped Doug Irwin guitar, colloquially known as "Wolf" from its inlay, it's obvious how Ibanez modeled the neck-through laminations and body shape on the Irwin guitar.

it keeps the ergonomic aspects of the Strat and improves on them, while bringing back more of a guitar feel with the rounded lower bout. and the various curves of the horns and the body are very carefully balanced.

I don't get built-in effects, to be honest. Once you build them in the guitar you're stuck with them.

It's it so bad to put a Koas Pad on a stand?

I don't get putting Fuzz in a guitar.

Then you can't pick and turn it on and off nearly as easily.
Are you too burdened to turn a knob with your foot or bend over for a second?

Delays are slightly more understandable but I'm still in favour of setting it on a table or something and just using a bypass loop on the floor

I feel that a boost of some sort would be the best placement of an onboard effect.
They're neat in a gimmicky kinda way though, as in they're cool in a DIY beater guitar. Not so much a Firebird X.

i like the idea of the Kaoss Pad in the guitar. admittedly, i have no hands-on experience with the Kaoss Pad, but it seems like a much more functional thing than a fuzz or other discrete effect as an onboard effect, and it appears to work for the Muse guy. discrete onboard effects seldom work well in my experience. oddly enough, the best-sounding ones i've seen are in the First Act Volkswagen guitars. i can appreciate wanting the effect controls right up on the guitar where you can grab them, though.

Thanks so much. Those are really pretty. I like everything about them except the tailpieces... And the Dead connection.
