I'm looking out for some, and I feel like I don't really know where to look. Just drop your favourite chorus' and I'll check it out. I'm not looking for a very lush one like the Tortuga Martini or transparent like an analogman, right in the middle. If I had to lean one way though I suppose it would be transparent.

EHX Polychorus. Analogman with the deep switch is way up there for me, though. Not sure what you mean by "transparent."

The only chorus I like is the Cosmichorus by Dr. Scientist.

Dr. Scientist cosmichorus of course. Can do just about any chorus sound plus some vibrato and lite flanging sounds. Other wise listen to stop referencing he's been through a lot of pedals around these parts. You could also try a chroma chorus.

Cosmichorus have a mix knob... so it could be very subtle... but it could be very crazy too.

My favorite is also the Cosmichorus.

For subtle sounds just roll the blend back

This. Best I've tried, can go subtle and thick (think Analogman) or totally insane bordering the craziness of the Polychorus or some nutty vibrato. Plus Ryan's working on the new Ultimate CC currently.

This too, but it's a bit of a board hog for my liking. Unique as can be though. The Cosmichorus comes close enough if you don't need the flange, detune, and whatever else is on there.

Maxon/Ibanez CS-9. Add the rate switch for vibrato and you're set.

I have an old Peavey Mark IV (or VI) with a chorus circuit that was pretty nuts. It had an adjustable frequency in addition to the Depth and Rate knobs. Would love to get that in a standalone box for noisy shit.

Polychorus excels at noisy shit, some uniquely insane sounds in that thing! The perfect chorus for those who hate "chorus", imo.

My favorite chorus: the ring thing. Can be as subtle as you want on chorus, it can't get flangey or self feedback on it's own, but the lfo speeds go from slow to ring mod. Plus it can pitch shift, phase shift, tremelo, vibrato and also has ring mod. If you aren't a big fan of chorus but want something subtle, my vote is the ring thing.

Polychorus is awesome as well, but there is nothing subtle about it. But it can do crazy spaceship oscillations and all kinds of cool flanging, vibrato and chorus sounds. I had fun stacking it with my other lfo modulated toys to make rain forest sounds, but yeah, the footprint is hard to deal with.

Cosmichorus looks good, especially v2

The Visual Sound H20 is the best chorus for me right now, and having the echo built in is merely a bonus. It sees regular use at church.

Before that, I had a Danelectro Cool Cat 18v Chorus, and that thing was pretty awesome as well. Haven't heard many good comments about the 9v version though.
