Will Mammoth do drilled and powdercoated 1590a enclosures for me? I need some drilled for input and output jacks, a bypass switch, one knob, an led, and a dc jack.

We already have a few colors for the 1590A, but we will be adding a few in the near future as well.

As for drilling, we do not have options for that at this point. We've had a few requests, so I'm sure we'll add drilling in the future. We don't have plans for that in the foreseeable next few months.

Keep shooting these requests our way! When we get recurring requests, we are able to bump them up in the priority lists!

1590A can be a tough drill. Obviously. Depends on the IN/OUT Jack sizes. I use Mini Enclosed Jacks from Mouser which can take up only 2/3 the space as you normal open ones. Plus a slight offset of even 16mm pots and the Mini jacks allows me the option of 3-4 Pots, too.

I think the "less room/margin for error" issue with the 1590As would minimize the ability of Mammoth to choose a standard template that would accommodate even one- or two-knobbers-especially when there are few options out there to maximize the actual space in a 1590As. But, hell, if they are willing to try....Let 'em at it.

That's totally right. If we were to offer drilling on the 1590A's, we'd have to create a single option. But it's hard because a lot of guys would want to have control of how many knobs, and where those need to go, whether or not they're using an external nut DC jack, etc. So that's why it would be a ways out if we were to tackle that... We still have other exciting parts to be added to our inventory.

But don't let anything deter you from asking! No suggestions are bad ones! We really do discuss all of the feasible suggestions and try to figure out ways to accommodate.

yeah 1590A leaves no room for error and everyone must be using the same exact parts in the same way. it would only work if mammoth had one drill layout and provided the pot, jacks, power, footswitch, led, everything. but it would only be one knob 1590A. you dont really need to include the footswitch and pot though cause I think everyone is using 1/4 shaft pots and the footswitches are all the same. 1590A are difficult to work with and I dont really do them anymore.

Yeah, I mean I love the size, but it's a pretty touchy ordeal. They're perfect for switchers, but drilling them is soo touchy with normal open jacks.

For now, I'd suggest befriending someone with a drill press.

It'd be awesome if you did 1590A enclosures pre-drilled for those little pots with the plastic knob already on them... whatever they're called.

They're used in lots of pedals. Way Huge, Malekko, Dunlop, and I've seen them in more. OH yeah, and mine. I use them.

Hey Blake! I have another question.

I need a couple drilled 1590BB sized enclosures. I need the horizontal 5 knob, single stomp, etc drilling action but with only 4 knobs. Could you omit the 5th knob so that it's just 4 knobs accross the top?

Btw the last batch of enclosures I got from you guys were great! Those sparkly finishes rule!

Hey! Yes, we can omit certain holes within our drilling specs, but we have to get an email prior to drilling them. Sometimes we'll have a request sent after the enclosure has been drilled, and we can't be responsible for that.
