home recording hardware/software

SO, what hardware/ software do you use at home for recording demos and stuff?
I just wrestled my poor mans home recording laptop to submission and I downloaded the latest Reaper (v 4.01)!
I've been using the Reaper for years now, I like it well worth the money (60.00$ discount license, full 225.00$ is a tad much, but...).
Nine years old Toshiba laptop, Behringer mixer, Inspire audio interface and yeah, seems i have the home setup running again.

*knocks on wood* It's been all busted and damn frustrating - with the shoelace budget - for nearly a year now

For all my reviews I've used:
Reaper
SM57
Line-In on my laptop
I want to get a condenser mic, some sort of audio interface and EZ Drummer. Then I will start recording songs for my (forever) solo project since I can't find a single drummer or bassist who likes the same style of music

When I want to record a quick little demo, I use guitar->VJr->isobox -> SM58 knock off -> Yamaha mixer -> Delta 66 interface -> Audition. I use a parametric EQ to make the guitar sound more natural through the isobox, and I aux in a bit of reverb, since the isobox is ridiculously dead.
Otherwise... I've got a ton of stuff in my little home studio.
Interfaces: 1x Delta 66, 1x Delta 44, 1x Audiophile 2496.
Mixer: Yamaha MG12/4FX
Rack gear:
Symetrix 302 preamp, SX204 headphone amp, 421m automatic gain controller
Biamp EQ 140 paremetric EQ
Behringer MDX4600 (comp), MDX2600 (comp), MDX2100 (ducking), T1953 (pre), DSP2024P (reverb)
Samson PS15 power conditioner
Monitoring: Alesis M1Active 520 monitors, Audio Technica ATH-M40fs headphones
Mics:
2x Heil PR-40
2x CAD GLX-2400
2x Behringer XM8500
I use all that regularly, and I have more gear in the other room that I haven't used yet-- that's just what I have at arm's reach. I just remodeled my studio, and put up $7k worth of acoustic panels.

yeah there are times where I'd like to edit without being plugged into my interface... but I haven't decided that that one thing is worth the upgrade price ~

sony software (sound forge, vegas pro, acid) and a firepod. I usually record live using a cheap AT9400.
