Gibson BFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the idea of the Gibson BFG, but is seems like it'd be scratchy and uncomfortable to play an unfinished guitar, and the wood knobs would have to go.
Anyone have one?

I've played one, it's sanded nice and smooth, no worries there. Reminiscent of a satin or "faded" Gibson finish, imo.

Yeah, they're great. They're not "unfinished"-- they just look like it. They oil them and such.

It's not flamed maple. Those are machining marks.
They look cool in person, IMO. Especially the silverburts.

Metal? Looks more like a guitar for Kyuss. The red and yellow ones look pretty lame, but the natural ones look sexy to me.

They have a GREEN one that has caught my eye. I'd have to sell a bunch of pedals though.

i'd be interested in that... and i'm not interested in LPs at all
anyway... yeah... some of those BFGs look pretty stupid, but those natural ones are quite cool
and i haven't heard serious complaints about them

Yes! I also looked at that One.
I played One a couple of years ago and i really loved the snappy attack - Not gibsonish. Great Guitar with decent Build quality.
Fuck the knobs and switches: half an Hour and less than 40$ and you have your setup.
(the One i played belongs to a friend and he put a bigsby later on it. Great!)

Hmm...I'm not sure what to think of it. Interesting.
But the green isn't doing anything for me...so I don't know if I can support such a guitar.

Wondering also, think you cracked the code.
Although that finish is machined, it sure looks like "flame" and that's just no go, for me anyway. Price is steep too, go ahead and finish it Gibson for 1K and up.
