Intrigue by Blackout Effectors Mantra. I’m looking for dirt that is not to low and not too high. What others should I look at?

Menatone King of the Britains
Paul Trombetta Design Mini-Bone

Those are both "not too low and not too high." They also sound good.

Which: Box of Rock clone without the boost.
Why: To me that is THE sound of Rock and Roll and that is what I need, I dial it with the vol. noon, gain at 3 and tone at ten. For a gilmour kinda sound.

Singing Tree, And Aardvarks. Because they sound s' gyaddang good. Crackly sparks of awesome from each, with a side of ragged glory. All the while, retaining note clarity/definition. also great "other dirt/Fuzz" potentiators

Fuck overdrive

It's called Fuck overdrive. It does everything you want from a dirt plus it can make your amp sound broken without breaking it. There's some special graphic ones up at Fuzzhugger.com or you can throw an extra $15 at Brian and he'll do some insane custom art.

because it sounds fucking awesome and has a picture of a black cat on it.

Really though, this thing is the best. It has such a wide range of awesome, usable sounds. I love setting it clean because it just makes your clean sound a little thicker and more lively, and when I turn up the gain a bit it makes my ac30 sound the way I think an overdriven ac30 should sound (which my ac30 doesn't do on it's own). It's such a usable pedal.. You can just leave it on the whole time you're playing.

It stacks really well too. I think it pretty much makes everything sound better.

Catalinbread DLS because it stacks so well

Fulltone Fulldrive Mosfet because it sounds exactly as i want my main OD to sound like - transparent, snappy, twangy... exactly a box i'd left on for the whole set

I'm an all-around Muff fan. I like the original and creative variations of it, like the Black Arts pedals.

It's just the perfect dirt tone for my playing style. It's the closest thing to that sound in my head.

Way Huge Pork Loin, very smooth, yet dirty. Huge amount of sounds in there. Might be a bit too smooth for what you're after, but I guess that's up to you.
