Fender string are the best, I've had mine on my guitar for 9 months. Also what kind of guitar do you have. Also I clean my strings after every time I play them, so, yah.

Elixirs all day, son. They last through my corrosive shit-sweat for 6 months or more and still sound pretty much like the day they came out of the package.

Some people don't like the way the coated strings feel, but I actually prefer it.

DR Tite Fit sound very full and chimey.

Sound and feel brand new forever! Best I've tried and available in a good variety of gauges.

EDIT: haven't tried the Highbeams but I'm sure DR anything is a safe bet..

i'm really surprised nobody's said D'Addarios...i don't care for them, but they seem to be the consensus among many types of players for tone/chime/hi-fi sound. i'm starting to look around; i'm liking the GHS Boomers i just put on the Tokai Les Paul Special.

I hate D'Addarios, just hate em......they always break.

I put some of the new coated ernie ball slinkies on my strat and now that I am used to them I love em, they seem to be holding up well and the feel is good. All I play is ernie ball on everything.

I tried D'Addarios because they had a uniquely gauged set I liked but they started feeling "tacky" and "old" within a week, maybe a bad batch? I don't know, it wasn't a good first experience so back to the DRs.

I like them too, but I don't consider them very chimey. They are very warm to my ears, which is why I like them on brighter guitars like my strat.

D'Addario seems pretty unpopular around hurr, but I've actually had no issues with them and I've been using them for quite awhile. :idk:

Hearing a lot of good things about DR from the trusted ILF brethren though, may have to try them out. :)
