this feedback looper is completely passive. has a latching AND a momentary mode. when both switches are used, it is the same as when no switches are used. the volume knob is only active when feedback is active. I forgot to mention in the video, the reason the volume knob does not go down all the way is basically, you need a minimum amount of resistance to ground here when using both switches. if not, it would be dead quiet in bypass mode with both switches on. one more thing, when nothing is plugged into send and return. you have a volume pedal
as far as I know, this has not been done exactly like this before. I dont have enough cables to do a demo with 5 pedals and a guitar

but I'll try and rustle something up.
what do you think of the pedal?

That is way cool, man. Looks like it's easily the best passive feedback looper out there. I would totally order one offa you, but I already have a Chk Chk Boom and Utter Stutter

I think you have a good thing going with this.

You can answer this: what happens if you put the utterstutter in the chk chk boom?

It took me like 15 minutes to think about how that would be wired, and I'm still not 100% sure I did it right or if it can be done without using something that splits the signal further. I turn into a retard when hooking these things up, man, I swear. Once it's in place I should just not move it ever again. And it's not even complicated.
In my defense I'm tired and in the middle of writing a paper
Maybe I'll try again later.
But it doesn't sound as cool as you think it would. The Chk Chk Boom overrides it, just like the Utter Stutter isn't there. It's not like "WHOA A TORNADO OF FUZZ! AND THE TORNADO IS ON FIRE!"

Seems kinda like the McSpunkle Samurai switch sans toggle flippies
Very cool design.

yeah McSpunkle used switch tip jacks on the send and return. ohno uses momentary for everything. I started making feedback loopers when I saw the plans on beavis audio. napalm pedals also has some interesting feedback loopers in various configurations. the big deal with this one is that both switches = no switches. thats XOR logic if you know what I mean. all this is going on while its switching the volume knob and the feedback line. it may seem like a minor improvement but it actually takes up all 3 poles on both switches. it took some time to figure out how to build the damn thing.

as much as I love DIY, FSB, and all of you here at ILF, I need to keep it semi-secret until I have sold the first one or 1 month has gone by. I just dont want it all over the internet with every builder claiming they did it first. I figure one month is all I need to mark it as my own. if you cant wait, you could scoop this one up and post a gut shot all over. I dont have a problem with that. my expectations in life are small. I just want to put gas in my car and buy a pizza. if I can sell one of these then I'll post a easy to read schematic and instructions. I dont goop and I will probably post schematics for everything I will ever design for the rest of my life. I would be nothing if it wasn't for schematics and forums. it doesn't seem right for me to suck up all the free information I find and do the opposite with my own work.
again, I want to munch myself in the dick for saying its proprietary (for now)

I dig it. The momentary reverse switchy thing (I obviously know a lot of descriptive words related to pedal circuits) is a cool feature to have.
