If somebody wants to donate, they can. But it's totally voluntary. And going forward, the site will remain free and open.

There are multiple, full backups of the entire site (from as of a few days ago). If shit somehow magically goes super-legal and a full shutdown happens, I should think that you could expect to some torrent files surface.
