Amy Winehouse... dead.

Amy Winehouse
is dead
...Seriously that sucks though, I know people will say she's had it coming for a long time being on the edge like that but it's still a shame.

not really sad tbh. other than the fact that she never cleaned herself up, because she WAS talented. BUT her addiction was to the point of being self destructive, unlike hendrix, and arguably joplin (OD'd as well as other people who got drugs from her dealer)
"but all death is sad"
hitler. that phrase is only used by people who like the person that died but can't stand the fact that others don't like her
"addiction is a disease"
bullshit. its also not completely concious either. but to say that its a disease excuses the responsibility of the afflicted. and besides, if you know you have a disease, you get it fucking treated.
"she had a great career"
a great album.
"death isn't a contest"
then she certainly was in a hurry to get there. see first quote. the tragedy of death is based on circumstances. druggy on an overdose with no desire to recover? their own damn fault. my grandma who finally passed away after battling painful cancer for a year? i'm happer to see her not in pain anymore, and i'll miss her, but im not that sad. dozens of innocent kids taken before their time by a bomber? sad as fuck
"can't you put more importance on others but still care about her?"
i am. i gave her as much sorrow as she deserved according to my moral sensibilities. not much. problem is, no one else is doing that. OH MY GOSH SOMEONE FAMOUS AND TALENTED DIED, HOW TRAGIC. not really because they were halfway there and getting closer despite their gift.
