Looks like two people didn't even bother to look at the website...

Yeah, it doesn't look like they're acoustic at all. In the first clip he's plugged in the whole time, and all the related videos have guys running into amps. I found one where the guy was using a phaser and another with an autowah.

The bigger one even has 2 x outs - one for bass and one for treble. That's pretty cool.

Looks like there is a version that has built in effects (even though in the description it says it's being run through axe-fx). Don't know if it's on the market or if it's just for this dream theater dude but I'm too lazy to find out. :picard:

Nah, that's just the 24-string version. I'm pretty sure that the "improved electronics" are just the better piezos and stuff.

Looking at the thing.... it wouldn't take that much to reverse engineer it... Actually when I look at it I see stuff that compared to what stick has been doing with their frets for more sustain this thing is a bit... dated... Also the tuning system is rather lo-tech there is a guy that did a how-to [if I remember right] on how you do that type of tuner with stuff from your local hardware store on http://www.mimf.com/ it's in their library which you need to register to get at... I'm pretty sure it was a pedal steel..
