Anyone have one of these? I am super intrigued by the idea of strictly bass/treble boost, specifically if it does it in a certain way I am looking for and hear in my head. The sole demo of this is too quiet to really tell, hopefully Kayzer will speak up on its merits since obviously he has spent some time with it. :thumb:

$190 just seems like a lot for a boost like this unless it is exceptional. Though I know they are not very common or easy to come by, Analogue Haven seems to be the only game around for anything Lastgasp.

Yeah thats one of my stinky old demos ;-P

I can tell you that i still own this pedal and i havent found something alike out there.

The point is that its thicken up the sound alot (sounds a bit cheesy but its the best way to describe), i had a good time to use it after my ring stinger, since this buddy was pretty harsh and thin sounding and the Don helped alot to thicken the signal up without fucking it up into unwanted clipping or distortion...

Since i am still looking for a green monster i have a LAL ebay search running and i can tell you that once in a while a don is availible there for a neat used price. Just wait it out...

I once had one but was too stupid to find good use for a monster fuzz and i sold it for a bargain back than and i am still regretting this sale...

I really hope LAL will come out with some new stuff in the future...

Sorry about the necro-bump but I'm not quite sure what this does?

It boosts yer lows and highs in effect making a scooped tone?

Does donshari sound good live? Sounds like a recipe for disappearing in the mix ?

I ended up buying one then returning it because I wasn't using it enough to justify the price tag. It definitely benefits from a good amount of headroom so those lows and highs punch through.

So...it's just an EQ? Is it any different from scooping an EQ pedal?

It provides a dramatic boost to lows and I guess highs, and... I mean yeah I guess it's just kinda like a fixed EQ, with a mean clean boost.
