Pretty cool. Dude is using arduino to modulate the sustain knob on BMP with a variety of waveforms.

That's pretty damn cool. Wonder why there's not a lot of Arduino use in pedals. They seem to LOVE them over at makezine.

yeah all his videos are pretty cool. you wont see ardruinos in pedals cause of the size, price, and redundancy. what he did can be done cheaper with some small lfo circuit. I'm actually more amazed at how it sounds and why hasn't it been done before.

Yeah, definitely sounds cool. Adding modulation to any knobs on anything is good in my book!

I like this idea, too--definitely seems like a different texture than throwing a trem in front of a fuzz. The Cusack Tap-A-Scream seems like a fairly extremist implementation of this idea on the TS format. I wonder if he's using an Arduino? I've used a Goatkeeper and MP-201 on the "hot hand" input of a Source Audio MultiWave Disto to really nice effect, but I like the roll-your-own idea, because you get to hand-pick the flavor of gain you want to modulate--plus those Muff boxes are so cavernous, they're just begging for some guests to move in.
