my RotYrBrain used to blink lights
then I plugged it in with the defiance to see if i could get new sounds out of it.

now, back to the regular adapter, the lights don't blink anymore & the range of frequencies is severely diminished.

what can I check to get it back to how it used to be?

That's really strange. I'm pretty sure the chip has blown, although I'm not sure how. Either that or there's some kind of short going on. Send 'er in.
