So I see that Smallbear has a switch billed as a replacement for the DS-1. Am I correct in assuming they're the same for other Boss pedals, too? I have a CEB-3 that developed a touchy footswitch, but that was ok because I could put it in a loop of my LS-2, except now my LS-2 is getting the same problem. Figures . I thought durability was supposed to be one of the few redeeming qualities of Boss pedals, but I guess not.

Also, does anything Mammoth carries work as a drop-in replacement? I'm planning on putting in a parts order for summer projects soon, and it'd be easier/cheaper to get everything in one place.

I don't believe Mammoth carries Boss style switches. It does seem like they have a couple you could use for DOD and Ibanez pedals, but that's not going to help you at all. I'd just go with the ones at Small Bear. You wouldn't have to worry about whether you're getting the right thing then.

Also, even the most reliable products are prone to fail. I've owned numerous Boss pedals over the years (some being 20+ years old), and I've never had problems with any of them. Perhaps you have a lead foot. How fast do you usually drive?

I actually almost failed my road test for driving too slow. I'd almost gotten in an accident on the way there because some guy ran a red light, so I was even more nervous than I usually am and subsequently super extra careful. But really though, I'm a bedroom player like 95% of the time now, so I didn't think I was being that rough on my pedals. Got 'em used, though, so I don't really know what all they've been through.

I'm sure that DS-1 switch will work for the other boss pedals. Somebody must have hit that thing with a hammer though.
