I missed out on a $114AUD 1/2 Gainer locally :-(

I missed a Sea Machine for a good price on basschat by like an hour while I was waiting for the money from selling my polyphase to come in... Bought a four eyes instead though, fuck it I love impulse buys.

Didn't they have some gold and black ones left after the black and green were gone?

Ya and they still have one listed on there, but when you go to checkout it says its not available.

I feel more burned by the stuff I miss on CL all the time. I was a couple hours too late for a $20 Fender Musicmaster amp. Another time one seller had both a Yamaha FX 500 and a Lexicon box for $55 -- too late. There was one 70's Guild fretless Bass that went for $100, and I'm sure the buyer was trying to flip it for many hundred more not long after.

Was tempted by the Manx and the EQD Hummingbird, but I just didn't need either. Well, maybe I do need a Repeat Percussion-esque trem . . .

I didn't have the cash for an AC30 CC2 that was on Craigslist a few days ago................ for $250!!!

It's now loooong gone... probably stolen goods anyways.

My friend one time asked me about this bass he just bought from a dude in front of a pawn shop. Turns out it was an old Teisco-a-like that was in really good condition. When telling me more about buying the bass, he said "Yeah, I got this and some amp from the guy for $300". When I asked what amp, he replied "I dunno, it's like a Mesa...double recti...something?".



Apparently, he had totally scored a Mesa Dual Rec for like nothing. I immediately informed him that it was INCREDIBLY stolen, and that he probably should either do the right thing and take it to the police, or be very quiet about owning it.
