Wow, it's like they added a morphesu drop tune to the original whammy design.

It's funny that they realized they were defeated.

And it is looking way bigger than the original Whammy, which was already pretty big^^

Ring Thing + Expression?
HOG + Expression?
2 things I'd choose everyday over a whammy to do whammy things

Hmmm... The momentary switch is a nice addition.

The momentary switch is pretty cool, that plus the implication that the tracking is now good (because of the pitch shift thing) might make the whammy more of a contender again. Although I don't know why they bothered putting the shifting in to compete with the morpheus thing, imo it's a stupid gimmick for people who can't just play in one tuning/tune guitars. I guess there was a lot of hype, but I wonder if many people actually bought into the idea.
I suppose if they keep selling the WH4 and have this as a 'premium' model or whatever that would probably go pretty well for them.

Actually, I would've benefited from this a year or so ago when I had two bands and one guitar. One in E standard and one in D standard. Constantly killed new strings from changing tuning.

Played the Bomber at Guitar Center. Not that impressed...dunno why. I think it's the digital stale sounds. If I had some drive I'm sure I woulda loved it more...

The guitarist in my covers band is actually psyched for this, because is using the Morpheus right now, and he also uses the whammy feature on his multi. This would probably let him get rid of both.
I've never tried the ring thing, but I completely disagree that the HOG can beat this to do whammy things. The HOG can only whammy 1 octave up or 1 step up. That's really limited. Yes, the HOG is polyphonic, but so is this new whammy.

i've been thinking that a whammy-function-with-the-expression-pedal might be the ideal application for the EH Ravish Sitar.
