Broken China sounds pretty goddamn fantastic! The rest are songs from OMNI though. Which IMO wasn't half bad.

Doh! Didn't realize that...and you're right about OMNI being not "half bad", a bit of a "grower" but man it let me down on first listen. The few songs that are bad are uncharacteristically bad though, ie: Excuses...

Definitely gotta check out the live songs on this, Into The Mirror should be awesome.
&I said this before in another thread, but I'll say it again here.
In my opinion, these 2 songs should have replaced Excuses and The Thief. It wouldn't have been as light-hearted or fun, maybe, but I think they're better songs.

Summer Angel could go too. Beside those tracks, it's a pretty impressive effort, though still a step down, imo. Less light hearted and fun would've been good I think, and maybe dial some of that cheese synth back, not all of it, just the cheese damn it.

AGREED. Alex said in some interview that he is trying to bring the synth more front and center, which can be ok, but I agree, there is a bit of cheese in there haha. I like that term.
& Summer Angel has grown on me. I really like the use of wah in the solo, too. Tastefully done, I think.

OMNI is good, if you skip the whole album.
But really, I just fucking dislike the first two songs the most.
