Hey guys, I'm building a DIY Shoegazer with a couple of Devi's kits and I've hit a snag. Heres my problem. I've wired both the SM and the TP by themselves and they work fine but when I wire them together the SM works fine but the TP I get nothing. The weird thing is when I touch the back of the footswitch the TP starts to work. Any ideas what my be going on? Any help would be much appreciated.

Double check the in/out wiring of the TP, and your soldering. The solder should look like it's flowing onto the wire a bit.

Hey thanks man. I checked it out and it looks legit. Its work fine when wired by itself. I tried to wire the switch three different ways and no go. Its drives me crazy because when I touch my thumb againist the lugs of the switch the signal starts to fade in and work. I think I'm just gonna make them seperate pedals

But if you give up, how will you ever know what you did wrong? D :

How do you have it wired? Are the circuits independent, or is there a master bypass switch and a "MOAR FUZZ!!!!" switch?

I have them wired independent with two 3dpts. I thought it could be a faulty switch but when wired by itself it works fine.

Well, think of it as two different pedal then! No reason to separate them.

Could you get a gut shot of the switch wiring? I'd assume you used Devi's diagram for independent switching.

Yea post a picture of how you have the switches set up.
You touching the switch sounds like you're making a connection, that isn't strong with the wiring. Is this boxed up? You pushing the switch could also be making a stronger ground to the enclosure, which might not be connected well otherwise.

I figured it out Its was a ground issue. I'm glad I didn't give up cause it was a simple fix. Thanks Mcspunk and Jero. I truely appreciate the help

Looks like a nice build!! Isn't the Shoegazer a SM into a TP though?? How does the TP into the SM sound??

nope, there's absolutely no difference. It's just 2 pedals in 1 enclosure. Still loadsa fun though
