Post by nieh »

I need more music like A Frames, The Intelligence, Thee Oh Sees and Lothar and the Hand People.

Any suggestions?

Erm...Early Flaming Lips stuff, The Unicorns, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah.

Yeah, they're all more indie lo fi, but whatevs. You should listen to them all the same.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah got me through my freshmen year of college. You think I'm joking, I was too poor to buy anything else on CD and the dorms prevented us from torrenting.

Man I wouldn't have thought of Lothar in the same category as those other guys.

There not really in the same category at all. I just put down what weird bands came to me first.

Teengenerate, Early Screeching Weasel?, Bratmobile, there's a member's band on here "the first teenager ever" bitchin name, bitchin lo-fi punk toons.

I always love taking a listen to White Stripes' cover of "Walking with a Ghost."

K records kicks ass. I'm pretty good friends with LAKE and Karl Blau, so a lot of K bands end up coming through here.

It's great, cus everything else that comes through sucks.

not exactly lo-fi or punk...but definitely weird...I can't recommend Von Frickle enough. :thumb:

I know y'all probably get sick of me talking about them, :whateva: but seriously...you're doing a disservice to yourself by not listening to them!

Either Mission 4.9, which is their first album, or Arrhythmia, their newest. I don't think they have any others out there..but I could be wrong :idk:
