so i've got a battery clip and a DC power plug that I want to solder together to make my little 45 turntable battery powered.

needs to be center positive.

am i right in thinking that,

I would solder the + (red) wire from the battery clip to the tip connector on the dc power jack?
and the - (black) wire to the sleeve connector?

i know this is moronic :picard: , but just want to mkae sure before i fuck up my little turntable

thanks!
