I just got one of these (vs.2) and am really loving it. I especially like the Rawk mode. Anyone have any experience w/ this pedal?

I had a sweet-lookin' purple one a while ago, was mega mega MEGA nasty (in a good way) through my AC30, great pedal that one, both modes are super usable.

I wonder the differences between V1 and V2?

got it last summer, had no doubts since :) I've got a red one, V2

Image

sorry for the flash, it actually looks much nicer - more "tomato red" :)

it's a great overdrive. I have to say i like it more on Rock mode with gain about a half - it's ballsy but really articulate and dynamic. I'm also running it on 12V. Rawk can certainly get really raw but i think this thing really shines when it comes to medium gain

it's been awesome after my Fuzz Factory clone :) right now i'm figuring out where to put my new Fix'd Fuzz but i'm sure it'll be superb with it too

i can only recommend it

I've been using one for about a year with my fender twin (@ 12v). I love it. It's the only pedal i've basically kept over the last year. I don't normally use it on its own, but mainly for stacking with my timmy clone or fuzzes :D. I thought it was a bit harsh when I first got it, but after i changed my speakers it really shined through.

That being said, I have thought many many times to replace it with something else. I might still try another marshall amp in a box pedal.

I've had one for a while. I loved it, but because I suffer from a disorder called "I need to try everything there is out there, so I will never be satisfied until I do" I traded it. I will say it's probably my favorite Marshall style od I've tried so far. I wouldn't be sad if I got another one (or build a clone ) in the future.

I believe the difference is that V2 has a bright switch inside the box. if the bright switch is off, that's the same as V1.

I'm still trying to figure out what settings I like with mine. I need to get some higher voltage power to try with it.

There is also a book named "Dirty Little Secret"... Not inspired by either as I had not heard of either until later. The name came from my friend Jake.

I use one, although I'm not sure which version it is. Got it used on eBay. At this point, I think the only thing that I want to try that might replace it is the ZVex Distortron, but the prices that ZVex charge for some of their shit really turn me off. The Distortron is affordable, of course.

Anyway, I use it on Rawk with gain dimed. My Fuzzhugger Hugger makes it scream, and it really pumps up my AB-Synth and Synth Manglers. I'm pretty damn happy with my gain chain right now. (Hugger>DLS>AB-Synth>SynthMangler)

they made them in limited batches of every color. each dealer just got whatever catalinbread gave them. I dont know what they are doing now though. so good news is they are available in every color but if you only shop at one store than your stuck with whatever.

Many of ours dealers specified the color. Some dealers said that they, "don't care unless it is pink". At one point we toyed with dealer exclusive colors. Since our local powder coater has an $80 minimum order we basically had to stock 100 of each color at any given time. Managing all of the colors got overwhelming in no time.
