Does anyone else notice all these hipster bands that are boring carbon copies of Gang of Four?
Is this the thing now?
And Gang of Four is so awesome.

There's also been good bands like Omar Rodriguez-Lopez Group, Titus Andronicus, The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart and I think Cold War Kids were nice too. I haven't seen that many others on that stream though. There's definitely been this 80s post punk vibe going on with the new "hipster bands" for quite some time now. Now they're just all supposed to combine that with happy happy lyrics. Like Joy Division's music combined with Beach Boys vocabulary.

I just can't stand The Drums. Mainly cause of the singer.

This is another way of putting it.
I missed Omar unfortunately, but saw him here in Cleveland with this tour he's been on. I saw Pains of Being Pure at Heart as well. Didn't see or know of Titus Androncius. Ozomalti or whatever that raggaeton group was called, they were funny. I watched Tame Impala, as I am a fan of their records. Not too good live. Vocals were really shotty and the bass and drums kept falling off. So pauses and breaks were iffy. I dunno, bad day I suppose. Missed Black Keys too.
