Hey broskis, what is a good mid-low priced ring modulator, I'm looking around for one to try wiff my bass. I've suddenly fallen in love ring mod for some reason, help me out guys.

I've got a big box frequency analyzer I'm not using. PM me if you want to work something out.

A lot of r.mods are very good on bass, but the true one is the big box Frequency Analyzer. It could reach the lowest depths.

its only $30 but your gonna need to put it in a box. and guitar players tend to think that all ring mods come with a built in osc so you gonna need one of these too


about $50 total and you have fun building it.

its a fun pedal but it is not a true ring modulator. dont let that discourage you. this is much cheaper and most people cant tell the difference. the term ring modulator is supposed to be used to describe an effect with a diode ring and two inputs.

Don't have experience with them, but on the demoes Copilot FX has some awesome ringmodulation!

yep. though when using a passive ring mod like the one you posted a pic of, you may additionally need a gain stage or boost in and out. in so that you're feeding the ring mod with an acceptable signal level to work with, out so that you have enough signal to combat the losses of using a passive device. then again, you may not need that stuff... just painting the entire picture.

Wait for the Way Huge Ringworm, so many options available. Fairfield is awesome, but pricey. Of course, the Moog can never do wrong either, but it has weird bypass issues. The Lovetone Ring Stinger is insane, if you're up for that.

Freq. Analyzer seems to "simple" for my tastes, but hey. Ring Thing might tickle your fancy.

I dont think it will be a problem unless your plugging your guitar in straight but I never owned one. you can probably use some other pedal that you have as a pre amp. if you hit it loud enough then there is no need for an output makeup gain stage. I'm just guessing
