Octave down fuzz?

So what's everyone's favorite octave down fuzz?
Don't have any specific requirements for it, except that it could do chords well.
I'm mainly going to use it on my electric mandolin, so I'm hoping it won't be too muddy.

I probably shouldn't even bother posting, seeing as I've never used an octave down fuzz, but I've heard good things about the Catalinbread Perseus.

Verellen Big Spider. Well, it's octave down and up. Power chords are like a train derailing and smashing through your house shortly before exploding next to an oil refinery.

The Verellen does octave down and up? Holy shit, I never even knew.
Always loved their soundclips and they have this great end-of-the-world doom/stoner tone, which is fucking great!

Shit, I thought the Verellen was octave up only as well. Should've just followed my own advice and stayed out of this completely.

For clean traackig and fuz I reeeeallly like the EHX micosynth. It's spendy, but its so cool. The fuzz isnt exaclty, fuzz, its a squarewave generator, but the octave tracks really well. For sloppy muddy octaves, of course, the robot devil is king.

The Big Spider doesn't do any octave down really. It's an octave up fuzz that almost exactly duplicates the old Ibanez Standard Fuzz. I'll second the Mantis II and the Micro Synth though for sure. Chord tracking is still tough though. Power chords and simpler stuff seem to do ok, but nothing too complex.
Definitely NOT chord friendly, but what about the Blue Box? That little bugger is I L L. Love that thing. And also, the second mode on the Phantom Arcade rocks it hard too. I bet that would actually handle chords pretty well. Glitch Computer and Robot Devil both sound great too, though I know the GC is not good with chords. Haven't played the RD but for a second. Dug it for sure, but don't recall how well it did with chords.

Just to add my two cents - I know you asked specifically for octave down fuzz, but if you're also looking for good tracking & handling chords, I'd say the POG or POG2 + whatever big thick fuzz you have on-hand. Best of all worlds.

Hmm, so far I'm leaning to the Catalinbread Perseus. I'm really impressed by the demo videos on their site.
