ILFenderBlender?

So I've not been around for long enough to witness any Fender Blender discussion.
I have a lead on a NOS Fender Blender MIK Re-issue for around a bill.
It seems to draw the ire (not irie) of the I <3 Fuzz crowd.
I played a passive bass through it and with tweaking seemed to get some descent thick-ish sounds out of it.
I played an active bass (I play actives but will be switching over to a hotter passive system) and it sounded like mud.
I got $100 bucks to blow,....maybe more if I'm patient.

Seriously, every single one of Devi Ever's $99 fuzzes are way better than the Fender Blender. Thats just my initial reaction.

I'm glad I kept my money then.
My initial reaction was I'd rather have an OG,...and something that wasn't made in Korea.

I liked mine, but the volume drop ruined it. You shouldn't need the volume maxed to get it to come close to unity.
To be honest though, like mentioned above, there are way better options. Devi's stuff hits a lot of the same ground. Personally, for that I use one of my Injectors, and greatly prefer it - biased or not.

I fucking love the originals. I hear you can mod the new ones to make them sound closer to the originals.

My friend/ ex-bandmate had a Fender Blender (reissue). I HATED it. It was the most annoying sounding pedal I've ever heard. It's not that I don't like octave fuzz or anything. I love octave fuzz. There was just something about that pedal that drove me insane.
I'm not an expert on Devi pedals at all but I have a Torn's Peaker and it's pretty much the greatest thing ever. I haven't tried any of her other stuff but if it's like the TP then it's fucking awesome and I recommend it.

I never noticed a volume drop however a Devi Vintage Fuzz Master is smaller and more awesome!

Probably a good idea. If you can get one dirt cheap its definitely worth it, but at $100 there are a lot of better options out there.

this, every vintage fender blender demo i've seen has made me pine for one so hard.
it seems like the reissue is really polarizing though
