Chandler Limited Germanium Boost

I've GAS'ed over Chandler Limited's studio gear for years. Now they are about to release a couple pedals. The first one going to be a germanium boost pedal. The looks are consistent with the rest of their line, which I think looks sweet. Runs off two 9v batteries, or a positive aaand negative power supply. You would need both, not one or the other. I'm hoping this adds some new functions to an already over-saturated market.

They already said their other pedal is going to be a distortion. Let's hope this line isn't going to be priced for people who are used to paying for expensive studio equipment. Also, and possibly more importantly, let's hope that these are going to offer something new that can't be heard elsewhere. I'd like to get my hands on one of these.

Here's the discussion that was started over at Gearslutz. And of course I have pictures.....

What is it supposed to cost.

$250. A bit rich for a normal germ booster, but I think there might be something more special to it. 18 v of voltage swing is the first hint.

$250 is about half of what I was expecting from Chandler...

The Chandler stuff is built in a very small town about 20 minutes from where I live. I have a friend who previously worked for Chandler and has played through a couple of the prototypes and he really likes them a lot.

Only $250? I was actually expecting it to be more too. That's good to hear. Also the only boost I've GAS'ed for.

I'm looking forward to the guys at fsb.org to get their hands on this one.

Does he know anything about the distortion they're talking about releasing? I'm very interested in the story for that one.

I don't know. He said he played through one prototype that sounded to him like a really great Tonebender.
