Gear Identification

I'm not sure if we have one of these on ILF, but i figure it'd be pretty neat.
anyways, self explanitory. show us stuff you don't know what it is, and we all help eachother out.
could someone tell me what this bass is?

Well it looks like a telebass but as far I can see those have other pickups, it could be modded

Modded Tele bass, I'm pretty sure that is the Double Nickels bass.

i wanna say telecaster bass but it doesn't really look like one minus the headstock and control plate and slab-ness.

You just need a copy of Bass Player Magazine (September/October 1995) Mike Watt on cover, I remember it talked about in there...

let me do a bit of searching I have seen that bass before.

the neck was a '68 but it was the only thing origianl (plus the tuners)! the body was a heavy ash schecter.
Still have no idea what the bridge is, but this might help.

That would be a Shere Sound Whirligig, tremolo, true-pitch vibrato and phaser all in one box, built in the UK, the guy builds about 2 or 3 every year.

Aren't I the best?

Are you serious?! I never saw a picture of them but the guitarist and drummer both look exactly like these dudes Weekends...like insanely.
Minutemen never did it for me...sorrry.
