I'm always wondering how clean can Monarch get. The demos I've seen are all awesome, but in pretty gainy settings. Would it be ideal to use Monarch as a "clean" preamp, overdriving it with other fuzzes/boosters?

Don't know about a pre-amp setup, but I use it as my low-gain OD. The grit reacts perfectly to your pick attack. Don't know if that helped at all.
