Questions About the Devi Ever Rocket

So ive done some research. and i cant seem to find certain answers.

I wanted a Vintage Fuzz Master. I think it sounds badass on bass. better than any of her bass fuzzes(or maybe you think theres a nastier grittier devi for the bass?). but then i learned that both the God Zilla and Rocket are paired with the VFM and another fuzz. and I've kiiiiinda decided i want a Rocket, mostly because of the tremolo. and i like that its two-in-one. I really really want but i have a few questions, if someone wont mind answering.

1. if i engage only the right side(the VFM) is it going to be exactly like the VFM? I mean, EXACTLY like the two-knob unit?
2. does the tremolo work with only the VFM side engaged?
and 3. who wants to sell me theirs?

im still reading up on it but i hope you guys can help. and i might have some more questions.

If you buy one of the newer Rockets, than yes the VFM will be the same. On the older versions (red star), you can only use the VFM if the SM is already on.

Couldn't tell you about the trem.

The tremelo is not as cool as you would think. Overall the fuzz sounds HUGE but the trem did not do it for me.

As I understand it, the tremolo is not a traditional trem circuit - it's more of an artifact of... something else. Couldn't tell you what. But it certainly seems to work more for some people than others. So YMMV. But you are correct about the VFM being awesomesauce on bass.

i have the older version so the vfm can only be turned on if the sm side is already on.
even on the new version the trem switches only work if both sides are on.
jrmz is correct. it is not a trem circuit but some sorta artifact of chaos/noise/starve type switches.
its a great sounding pedal!

Yes, with the exception there's now a choas mode.

2. does the tremolo work with only the VFM side engaged?
No.

and 3. who wants to sell me theirs?
I no has one.

Both the Godzilla and Rocket are awesome for bass. I use the SM for my bass fuzz in recordings, really kicks it up a notch. However whether you get the Rocket or Godzilla I think you'll be happy. Both are awesome fuzz beasts for bass, synthy, plain, or wacky.

Really? I thought it was awesome. I mean it's not versatile but as a bonus feature on a double pedal I thought it was a pretty awesome addition. Sick sounds to be had IMO.
