Kinda sketchy, no?

Refinish, no serial and the decals looks maybe off. I'm no vintage mustang expert but I'd be careful with that one.

I agree. Looks sketchy. Plus, a vintage Mustang for $599? Seems too good to be true. :idk:

I guess the issue is so much has been changed there's no way of knowing if any original parts are left on that guitar.
All the identifiers are missing or have been changed.

You'd have to inspect the guitar and take it apart in person.

i dunno...the decal looks ok to me.....yea..it's got issues but it's the price of a RI. the paint is very shit and it appears to just be worn off around the neckplate area (not chipped). the pickguard, tuners, knob. selector, neckplate are all non orig but still....it's the price of a reissue. if the pickups are orig and the wood is orig then the tone will be there. the big "no's" are extra routing or wood damage, everything else is easy.
it's 600 bux because to buy the correct parts would put you back several hundred and you'd still have a refinished mustang...which is not worth a lot.
if i were looking for a mustang, i'd offer them 500 and be happy with the deal.

Own a silver mustang.

Srsly if someone buys it and makes it a color that isnt silver then fuck them. Silver is sweet. Needs a black pickguard though.

I have a '65 mustang that I just restrung yesterday. I don't know what took me so long, I love it. All the original ones are date stamped on the bottom of the neck (Mine is Dec 1965). The one posted above has been modded heavily: a switch where the tone knob should be, no switches where they usually are on the mustang, and of course the paint. It may still be awesome who knows. Mine lacks the original pickups and pickguard, and I changed the tuners because the originals (which I still have) were just old and poor. I go back and forth on selling but as of now, I'm back in love with an old flame.
