Does this look like a MK2 Tonebender to you?

I bought this not long ago, claims to be an accurate MK2 clone, what do you guys think?
Not even plugged it in to try it out since I bought it as its been laying in a drawer ever since because I'm forgetful as hell
I realise the pictures probably don't give much away, if you want me to try and read what the components are I can!

Well, it has three transistors, so that's a good start.
Make a list of the resistor values and then compare it to a schematic. If the values mostly match up, I'd say it's probably legit.
Here's a handy color code calculator to help out:
http://www.electronics2000.co.uk/calc/r ... ulator.phpYou'll want to use the 5-band setting, as all of those resistors are 1% metal film.

Thanks, never come across that site before, useful!

Is that a Diode I spot... and is that 3 Knobs or 2? Me thinks it looks more like a MKIII.

3 knobs, which I thought was odd due to most MKII's having 2 knobs. But apparently the third is a bias that is taken out of the circuit when dimed. I should plug it in really

Good eye! I passed that diode over thinking it looked like an old carbon comp (which would be weird to find with all the metal film, but I've done it...)
I wanted to add, that builder was no perfectionist.

Yeah I thought that myself when I was bidding for it, but I managed to get it for £30 so can't be bad I guess

I almost made the same conclusion but then I decided a) It was too small, b) why use all Metal Film and one Carbon Comp, that would be the worst ever bit of mojo ever as you mention and c) It made sense if it was more like a MKIII with the third pot.
It could also be in there much like the MkIII but just to keep the bias stable, so if what you say about the bias is true it may still be a MkII, but it's been modded. It's either a MkII or III though.
Is this on Double Sided Vero or has he done it point to point on the back of a piece of vero?

Double sided vero AFAIK, I'm still drawing up the component list so I can see what it most closely resembles
