Ok, so I have a Line6 Echo Park. It's noisy as all hell. I really only use it for the Sweep on the tape setting (for some flutter and swells). Does anyone know of any pedals that are a Sweep only delay?

I use it this way instead of a Flanger which is too effect sounding, the Sweep works perfect because it's way more of a swirly airy sound. which is perfect. However, the pedal is basically useless because it's so noisy.

I keep searching the internerd but can't find what I'm looking for so if anyone has any idea's I'd appreciate it. Also I'm not opposed to building my own, but have never done so before so would need a place to start with that too. BYOC didn't have what I was looking for.

This is probably pointless since no such single pedal exists, but I have to try. I can't take the noise from the Echo Park any longer.

dont quite know what you mean by sweep delay, havnt used an echo park myself. but look into an old Ibanez DML-20, modulation delay, it will do flange, chorus, slapback to 1024ms delay, and you can blend in modulation and get a really cool woosh going on with the delay (can get real crazy too

Yea it sounds like that would probably get you in the ballpark...or maybe a flanger with controls that allow you to adjust the amount of delay/regenerative feedback in the flange effect?

EHX Polychorus sounds pretty good in this case. One of the better flanger/chorus/slapbacks I've heard.

Do they still make those?

I don't think so..but, does the Flanger Hoax take the place of the old polychorus?

What's your power setup? You should NOT use the Echo Park in a daisy chain.

julius_deane - I do run it in a daisy chain. I noticed yesterday that the power adaptor jack is real loose, so I guess I'll be using a 9v for now till I find a new pedal.

Ironbird13- the sweep is almost like a swell. but not really at all I guess. Instead of swelling the volume up and down it sweeps it left and right for more of an airy flange sound. I'll look into that Ibanez pedal.

Has anyone used the Boss RE-20? How does that sound on bass?
