Need delay guidance

So here's the deal. I'm quite pleased with my current delay set up (EQD Disaster Transport and an EHX SMMH) but that takes up a lot of space on my board. I would like to narrow this done to one delay, so I have space for a Cosmichorus.
So, what's the do all, end all delay?
It needs to be able to have a few presets, not always sounds like a digital delay, and not be gigantic.
I'd love to be able to call up more than one preset in a song, but it's not totally necessary.
I got to spend an hour today messing around with an Empress Superdelay (I was getting paid to do so aswell

) and it is defiantly a contender, but I'm still unsure about it. It sounds great, but something about it doesn't sit right with me...
Suggestions?

Eventide Timefactor or wait for the Strymon Timeline.
The timefactor was nice and their continued support with updating the pedals software is really cool. But to my ears Strymon has better sounding delays. The Strymon Timeline is going to combine the sounds from the original Timeline plus their dBucket and dTape sounds plus some new ones like ice and dVinyl. You should be able to get a Timefactor for around $300 used and the Timeline will most likely be around $450 when it comes out.

Well supposedly you can control everything via midi and you can use the digital (old timeline) delay before or after the looper. It also will have an effects loop in mono operation.
FYI I sold my timefactor after I heard the timeline was being released.

The line6 M5 is coming out soon. The features haven't been officially announced, but there's a good chance it will meet all your criteria.

I forgot about the m5. I kinda plan on getting one just for backup and its versatility even if its one effect this is supposedly gonna be in the $250.

I've never properly considered an M9.

An Empress or a Timefactor on the high end, or if you're going for cheap, keep the SMMH (because it's epic and you know it), and add a small analog delay to your board. The Memory Toy is good, as is the Memory Boy if you have a bit more room.
But, the Memory Boy likely won't save you much room in comparison to the Disaster Transport, which I'd keep even if you decide to go with one delay.
Actually. No.
Don't keep it. Trade it to me for something.

I'm starting to think I just man up and get a DL-4.
Other than being FUCKING HUGE it does everything I want.
Does anyone have one they've had drasp'd?
Is it worth it versus one I could get for $200 off craigslist?

Have you considered a Nova Delay?
