i've never priced inlay work but i'd think a replacement neck with binding and blocks wouldn't be that much more and then you'd have an extra neck....that's one body away from a alternate guitar.

Wouldn't frets be removed to do new inlays? I think most guys remove frets, level fretboard, then route for new inlays, I could be mistaken though. If that were the case, I'd get it bound at the same time, looks pretty sharp on a JM.

http://www.warmoth.com/pages/CustomNeck.aspxJust did one (for fun)
357 bucks for the neck,
Plus it would be factory fresh,
I think it would cost at least 150 to 200 to have someone put block inlays in and you are at the mercy of their skills.

It would be expensive. Like. Too expensive.
To be honest, I wouldn't bother. I think it looks awesome, and wish my Jaguar and Jazzmaster both had B&B necks, but the amount you'd pay would be outrageous.
And, like mentioned above, you'd be at the mercy of someone's skills on a neck that was made for you. If they fuck up, it's ruined.
