Easily the best SY record in....... well in a while........ I think they're still totally relevant and this record is so great, no vocals, no shitty Lee song, just great sounds throughout, this is the record I've been hoping for....... forever...... last 13 minute track is fantastic. If you thought The Eternal was pretty "safe" and you loathed NYC Ghosts And Flowers and A Thousand Leaves this record might win you back to the fold.......

Seriously though Rather Ripped, Sonic Nurse, Murray Street, The Eternal and all the SYR records (except 5) were great, this is just better!!

I thought the eternal was fucking awesome like rather ripped but way more dynamic I've heard
some tracks on SY9 and they remind of the songs on that odds n' sodds comp they put out as
their last geffen release. Also I think Lee's gotten better songwise where as Thurston and Kim
have gotten a little lax.

I liked The Eternal but I didn't love it....... and that Destroyed Room they released was like the best thing they've ever done, I would love to see a deluxe version of Washing Machine with a bunch of live jams of The Diamond Sea and Washing Machine how fucking sick would that be? That's probably my favorite SY record overall........ I think Bad Moon Rising, Evol, NYC Ghosts and A Thousand Leaves are my LEAST favorite.......

I think its good if a band or artist has stuff you don't like as well as stuff you do, a good example
would be Neil Young I love him but there's also a few albums I could live without.

There's one song on that album Neil Young did I fucking hate.... Mansion On a Hill? You know the one I'm talking about....... it fucking sucks.........
