fret-end file at the local hardware store?

I picked up a nice cheap Fender copy for a song with the one major issue that the fret ends are stabby. Is there an appropriate cheap file for fret ends at my local Lowes or Home Depot instead of having to order from Stewart Macdonald?

A file for keys should do the trick. They can be had for about 5€ around here (not the good ones, but they should do the trick).
