Some of you (ahem, pumpkin pieces) may recognize the demo riff.

Anyway, it's a fuzz/octave fuzz that Eric says will likely include a blendable octave and a tone knob as well as gain and volume controls.

What you hear in the clip is a prototype with a simple octave on/off footswitch and no tone control.
It is the original trumpet fuzz prototype; but Eric says he doesn't want to call the bigger one the Trumpet something, so he needs some help with names.
My vote goes to something with Frog in the name, but that's just cause it sounds froggy to me. So my vote goes for "Frog Machine," or "Frog Bomb," or something of that nature.

But by all means. Be creative.

Oh, the demo uses a mexican strat with lace sensors into the anonymous fuzz into a clean maz 18 nr 1x12 close miked with an SM57 and an audix D3.

Oh a note on the demo. I cut the leads together and increased the gain a bit every time the phrase repeats until it got to max gain. The beginning is minimum gain. The octave kicks in halfway through (obviously).

I like it! It would knock the GZ right off my board. Sounds pretty mean. I like Frog Machine!

Or Frog Zombie. Because everything is more awesomer when pertaining to zombies.

Yeah, I've actually found every setting on mine to be useful for something. I think the change in feel across the gain knob is probably more pronounced in the room, but you can get an idea of it in the clips.

I may try to do another demo to showcase some more sounds you can get out of it. That should bum them out.

I like the sound you got there! Sounds.... crusty... or like your speakers have a rip in them, that sound right before the go pop.

Since it is an octave up fuzz, I thought of noisy things in that are up(skies), planes is what I thought of and when i searched for noisy planes, the name "thunder screech" appeared. I think may be a cool name for this oct up pedal

Thonk you, fiend. I had been thinking about names for a special custom Fuzzhugger pedal that included parts of the UppeR with a few other things in it, but I just got an UppeR straight up, so OCTOPUSH is up for grabs.
